At Roade we aim to develop the children’s interpersonal and problem-solving skills, self-esteem, confidence and  tolerance by providing 2 hours of quality PE per week.

Children in Key stage 1 learn a variety of skills linked to games, gymnastics, dance, outdoor and adventurous activities and athletics, whilst Key stage 2 cover all of the above plus swimming.

Through our links with the Sports College, children at our school have been fortunate enough to be offered specialist coaching from the following.

Tennis

    Rugby

Badminton

Cricket

Athletics

Futsal

Gymnastics

We also aim to forge links between the school and its community by taking part in tournaments, inter-school competitions and training sessions and have children who have represented teams in the following sports;

Tennis, football, basketball, TAG rugby, cross country, athletics, multi-skills, futsal, high fives and orienteering.

The school also runs many after school clubs which provide the opportunity to take part in further physical activity.

These include basketball, cricket, tag rugby, football, gymnastics and karate.
