RM Maths Club
RM Maths club runs for 4 mornings a week
(avoiding Thursday, due to Basketball club)
from 8.30am to 8.45am for up to 15 pupils
from Key Stage 2. This still enables pupils
to have time outside in the mornings with
their friends before the school day.
RM Maths is a computer based program which, if used regularly, has been proven to increase pupils’ confidence and ability in Numeracy. All pupils in Foundation and Key stage 1 use this program and find it helps them with maths in class. It is very popular with the pupils as it is fun and gives positive feedback. It is set up at the pupil’s own level of ability and moves pupils forward in their learning at their own rate. It also reinforces and consolidates elements that the pupil is struggling with.
In order to enable the children to make the best of the program, and therefore maximise progress, it is advised that they have a 15 minute session daily.
