School Development Plan Overview

2011/12

Learning and Teaching:

 Continue to raise standards in literacy - focusing on spelling, phonics and reading for meaning and pleasure

 Further improve the quality of teaching and learning though the use of outstanding teaching strategies

 Further improve the progress of specific groups of children such as those with special needs

Leadership and Management:

 Continue to develop leadership of Special Educational Needs

 Review effectiveness of Governing Body

 Further develop the  tracking of pupil progress

Conditions for Learning:

 Develop the outside area for Y1

 Improve the outside area for YR

 Improve the environment in classrooms through a schedule of redecoration

The Learning Community:

 Improve communication further between parents and school

 Work towards the Healthy School Enhancement Model

 Develop a Learning Platform

 Develop the School Council

 Meet the government latest requirements on equal opportunities through the development  and implementation of an Equalities Duty
